ElastoKappa iSi

Special one-component polymer-modified mortar based on hydraulic binders, water-reducing admixtures, rheology modifiers and pure selected very fine aggregates, for flexible skim coats that are impermeable to water, salts and carbon dioxide, with high bond strength on concrete, plasters, cement screeds, brick masonry, ceramic or stone tiles and slabs, fiber cement, gypsum fiber, plasterboard, marine plywood, wood fiber, aerated concrete panels and the like, applied by trowel, brush or roller. Thanks to its advanced mix design, the hardened product remains elastic and deformable even at temperatures well below freezing, is not degraded by de-icing salts, chlorides, nitrates, sulfates or carbon dioxide, and bonds excellently to all the substrates it is recommended for.

ElastoKappa iSi can be applied with a float or steel trowel, or with a brush or roller, simply by changing the amount of mixing water. This makes it extremely easy and versatile to apply, and suitable for all wall surfaces, plastered or not, even uneven ones (for example unplastered exposed masonry).

ElastoKappa iSi can be used to:

• waterproof concrete and protect it from absorbing water, salts and carbon dioxide;
• waterproof and protect hydraulic binder plasters;
• waterproof and protect aerated concrete, plasterboard, gypsum fiber, fiber cement, marine plywood, wood fiber panels and the like;
• waterproof wall bases in mixed stone or solid brick;
• waterproof and protect wall copings or brick roof decks under roof tiles;
• waterproof balconies, bathrooms, showers and terraces before tiling;
• waterproof ceramic or stone coverings on terraces or balconies.

ElastoKappa iSi offers:

• very high elasticity, even at low temperatures (down to -20 °C);
• very high bond strength;
• very low carbon dioxide permeability;
• UV resistance;
• resistance and impermeability to salts.

ElastoKappa iSi meets the principles of UNI EN 14891 (liquid-applied waterproofing products for use beneath ceramic tiling bonded with adhesives).
