2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser to remember information while you browse or between visits. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, work the same way and this policy treats them as cookies. Cookies can be set by us (first-party cookies) or by other companies' services embedded in the website (third-party cookies).

3. How we handle your consent

On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept, reject or want to customize cookies. Until you choose, we only use technical cookies: no third-party service is loaded.
Closing the banner with the X rejects all non-essential cookies. Continuing to browse or scrolling the page does not count as consent.
You can change your mind at any time: open the cookie preferences (the “Cookie preferences” link is also at the bottom of every page).
If you withdraw your consent, we delete the cookies of that category set on our domain and reload the page. Cookies that third parties set on their own domains must be deleted from your browser settings.
We remember your choice for 6 months; after that, or if the services we use change, we will ask for your consent again.
The chat and YouTube videos can also be enabled individually: if you request them without having consented to their category, we show you a notice first.

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited (privacy policy), to understand in aggregate how the website is used. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

4.4 Marketing (with your consent)

4.5 External content (with your consent or on request)

The videos on product pages are hosted on YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, privacy policy). We show them in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and only after your consent or a click on “Load the video”. When a video is loaded, your browser connects to Google's servers and YouTube may store data in the browser's local storage (for example ytidb::LAST_RESULT_ENTRY_KEY).

5. Other third-party content

The page-flip catalogs in the “Tools” section are provided by Mobissue and hosted on Amazon Web Services. Mobissue only sets the technical cookie __cf_bm (Cloudflare, 30 minutes) to protect itself from automated traffic.
The links to our social media profiles (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube) are plain links: those websites only set cookies if you visit them.

6. Transfers of data outside the European Union
