IdroSoft K Antisali

Breathable, salt-resistant scratch coat.

Special mortar with high bond strength for scratch coats with a strong salt-barrier effect, linking solid brick, mixed stone or concrete masonry affected by rising damp and salt efflorescence to the subsequent RALLK Muro K Idro or RALLK IdroSoft K dehumidifying restoration plaster.

IdroSoft K Antisali offers high workability, thixotropy, plasticity and elasticity, controlled shrinkage and a low content of water-soluble salts; it does not react with salts in the masonry and has a very low VOC (volatile organic compound) content. It is based on NHL 3.5 natural hydraulic lime compliant with UNI EN 459-1, geo-pozzolans and pure selected aggregates with a maximum grain size of 1.4 mm. It is ideal for work on both new and existing masonry, including listed buildings.

Key features:

  • Contains no Portland cement;
  • Lattice structure that traps water-soluble ions;
  • Very low VOC content;
  • High bond strength and mechanical performance, without being rigid;
  • Adds no water-soluble salts to the masonry;
  • Does not react with any sulfates in the masonry, so it is compatible with historic masonry (passes the Anstett test);
  • Breathable and hygroscopic, it prevents mold and condensation and regulates indoor humidity;
  • Reversible and compatible with historic masonry;
  • Fully recyclable and/or disposable as inert waste at end of life.

IdroSoft K Antisali is the ideal complement to dehumidifying and restoration products such as RALLK Muro K Idro or RALLK IdroSoft K for restoring masonry affected by rising damp. Even the best restoration plasters often stop working over time because the salts in the masonry (sulfates, nitrates, chlorides) invade them within the first hours after application. IdroSoft K Antisali protects the restoration plaster from salts, so that it can develop its properties properly and keep working over time.

It can be applied to existing walls or vaults in poorly absorbent solid brick, mixed stone, tuff or calcarenite masonry in general, or concrete, that are to be treated with a dehumidifying restoration plaster.

IdroSoft K Antisali can also be used with standard breathable plasters when the masonry is no longer affected by rising damp (for example after a damp-proof course has been cut in, or on upper parts of the wall) but is still rich in water-soluble salts.
