Raso K nhl
Fine natural hydraulic lime skim coat with high breathability.
Special skim coat with high workability, breathability and hygroscopicity, designed for renovating plastered surfaces, very low in volatile organic compounds and fully recyclable at end of life, based on NHL 3.5 natural hydraulic lime, pure selected aggregates with a maximum grain size of 0.8 mm and additives, suitable for:
- skim coating new indoor or outdoor plaster before painting, mineral finishing, tiling or wallpapering;
- skim coating existing outdoor or indoor plaster after removing old paint or the old finishing coat;
- skim coating radiant wall heating systems that require mortar layers under 5 mm per coat;
- leveling or smoothing skim coats on walls or ceilings, under 5 mm per coat;
- leveling or smoothing skim coats on new or existing concrete, under 5 mm per coat.
Raso K nhl has very low plastic shrinkage, bonds excellently to the substrate even when smooth and poorly absorbent, and offers excellent abrasion resistance and high durability against the weather. It is highly breathable and hygroscopic and regulates indoor humidity, does not form a vapor barrier, has a low content of water-soluble salts and a very low content of volatile organic compounds (VOC), contains no solvents or substances harmful to health and is fully recyclable at end of life.
Raso K nhl is used to even out mixed plasters with different water absorption using a single product, in one or more coats. It can be applied at least 2 mm thick on existing plasters with or without paint or mineral finish, provided they are based on hydraulic binders, sound, dust-free and well bonded to the wall, and in general on any substrate whose low water absorption and low roughness can cause poor adhesion with ordinary mortars.
Raso K nhl can be used for skim coats reinforced with glass fiber mesh and is compatible with radiant wall heating systems.
Raso K nhl can be painted with lime, silicate, siloxane or acrylic paints, or finished with white or through-colored mineral finishes in powder or paste form, preferably vapor-permeable. It is compatible with wallpaper and with ceramic or stone wall tiles.
