Raso K Plus
Fine white, water-repellent skim coat with high breathability.
Special white water-repellent skim coat with high workability and breathability, designed for renovating plastered surfaces, very low in volatile organic compounds and fully recyclable at end of life, based on lime and special hydraulic binders, pure selected aggregates with a maximum grain size of 0.8 mm and additives, suitable for:
- protective skim coating of new outdoor plaster before painting or laying ceramic or stone tiles;
- protective skim coating of existing outdoor plaster after removing old paint or the old finishing coat;
- protective leveling or smoothing skim coats on walls or ceilings, under 5 mm per coat;
- protective leveling or smoothing skim coats on new or existing concrete, under 5 mm per coat.
Raso K Plus has very low capillary water absorption and very low plastic shrinkage, bonds excellently to the substrate even when smooth and poorly absorbent, and offers excellent abrasion resistance and high durability against the weather. It is highly breathable and hygroscopic, does not form a vapor barrier, has a low content of water-soluble salts and a very low content of volatile organic compounds (VOC), contains no solvents or substances harmful to health and is fully recyclable at end of life.
Raso K Plus is used to protect mixed plasters with different water absorption from the weather and even them out using a single product, in one or more coats. It can be applied at least 2 mm thick on existing plasters with or without paint or mineral finish, provided they are based on hydraulic binders, sound, dust-free and well bonded to the wall, and in general on any substrate whose low water absorption and low roughness can cause poor adhesion with ordinary mortars.
Raso K Plus can be used for skim coats reinforced with glass fiber mesh and is compatible with radiant wall heating systems.
Raso K Plus can be painted with lime, silicate, siloxane or acrylic paints, or finished with white or through-colored paste mineral finishes (acrylic, acrylic-siloxane, siloxane), preferably vapor-permeable. It is compatible with ceramic or stone wall tiles.
