Kerasiv Kalce
Natural hydraulic lime adhesive for installing tile and terracotta on floors and walls.
Professional adhesive based on NHL 3.5 natural hydraulic lime, with starches and celluloses to regulate plasticity and water retention, normal setting, zero vertical slip and extended open time, very low in volatile organic compounds (VOC), class A+ under the French VOC – CMR Regulation and fully recyclable at end of life, for laying terracotta tiles, brick pavers, natural stone, ceramic, clinker and stoneware on floors and walls, indoors and outdoors.
Kerasiv Kalce has very low plastic shrinkage and does not sag when applied in thick beds. It bonds excellently to the substrate (concrete, screeds or hydraulic binder plasters) even when smooth and poorly absorbent, and is highly durable against the weather, even in demanding conditions such as damp rooms or places with wide temperature swings. It is highly breathable and hygroscopic, does not form a vapor barrier, contains no solvents or substances harmful to health, is fully recyclable at end of life and is compatible with existing masonry, including listed buildings.
Kerasiv Kalce is used as an adhesive for laying the following on walls or floors, indoors and outdoors, in residential or commercial buildings:
- terracotta tiles;
- brick pavers;
- natural stone;
- clinker;
- stoneware;
- ceramic (single-fired, double-fired).
Kerasiv Kalce is compatible with the following substrates:
- cement, lime-cement, natural or artificial hydraulic lime, and air lime with cocciopesto or pozzolan plasters;
- gypsum plasters after applying a suitable sealing primer;
- historic concrete;
- existing lime screeds, and thick or thin natural hydraulic lime, lime-cement or cement screeds.
Kerasiv Kalce can also be used effectively, with reliable results, for laying large-format tiles or on screeds with radiant floor heating. It is also recommended as a bonding bridge to fix screeds such as RALLK Massetto Kalce, or traditional hydraulic binder screeds in general, to the substrate (provided it is stable and sound) when floor levels or site requirements mean they must be laid less than 4 cm thick.
